Iran won because: the Strait of Hormuz stays open for them; sanctions ease; $300 billion (or similar) for reconstruction; they keep enriched uranium / nuclear dust; the U.S. only got $24B in seized assets or similar rounding-error wins. Trump is a troll who lost and is spinning.

What the frame leaves out

Strait was already a global choke before 28 Feb — the fight was whether Iran could weaponize tolling + latency together.
Reconstruction numbers in headlines are negotiation theater and macro scare — not the same ledger as HEU custody or launch-cycle breaks.
Uranium “$500k” quips mock material value while skipping radiological risk — enriched stock is not priced like scrap metal.
Administration public lines: no enrichment path, HEU removed or downblended, no strait tolling — contested, but not “Iran keeps everything.”

Full stop.” Trump: “We’re never going to let them have a nuclear weapon.” The fight is over custody, downblend, and verification — not whether a dirty-radiological use of existing stock was part of the pre-war fear (CBS “dirty bomb in the desert” scenario to Hegseth).
